The Oluce Arezzo 227 was created in the year 2011 by Gordon Guillaumier. The table light creates a pleasant, glare-free room light. An integrated dimmer on the supply line regulates the light intensity steplessly. The shade is made of white, hand-blown opal glass. The table lamp has a diameter of 34 cm at a height of 40 cm. At the lamp base, the shade has a smaller diameter of 16 cm. A high-voltage halogen lamp with a maximum power of 120 watts is used as a light source. The designer Gordon Guillaumier was inspired for this lamp by a well-known fresco by Piero della Francesca in Arezzo, a city in Tuscany. The fresco shows a nobleman wearing a hat in the shape, as the light looks. The light was first presented at the Euroluce in Milan in the year 2011.
