Foscarini Caiigo pendant light

The Foscarini Caiigo is characterized by the fact that this pendant lamp has a funnel-shaped shade with a diameter of 25 cm and a height of 29 cm. This screen is held in shaded white. The light source emits its light uniformly downwards. The 190 cm long cable can be shortened if necessary to hang the pendant lamp higher. The canopy of the Caiigo has a diameter of 16 cm as well as a domed shape.

A reflector lamp is used for this lamp by Foscarini as a light source, the maximum power being 35 watts. The pendant lamp was designed by Marco Zito in the year 2016. The name of the lamp comes from the Venetian dialect, in which "Caiigo" means "mist". This word served as inspiration for Zito, as the lamp, on the one hand, is reminiscent of the colour of the fog and, on the other hand, is made of hand-blown glass made in Venice for more than a thousand years. The colour gradient of the pendant lamp from white to transparent is the result of masterful glassblower art, which makes each lamp unique. Even when switched off, the pendulum lamp already has an impressive look.
