The IP44.de Slat can be used as wall or ceiling light. Ceiling mounted, it has a height of 8.1 cm, a length of 22 cm and a width of 9.8 cm. On the wall it is 10.1 cm high, 22 cm long and 8.1 cm wide.
The lamp is particularly flexible in its light output: it is equipped with two diffusers, which can be rotated independently of each other up to 240 degrees. Depending on whether the lamp is mounted on the wall or the ceiling, different lighting directions are thus possible. It can be used as an uplight or downlight as a wall lamp and simultaneously emits lateral light. It can also light upwards and downwards at the same time. When the Slat is used as a ceiling light, the light can be directed directly downwards or also to the side. The infinitely variable diffusers can be adjusted again and again.
With protection class IP65, the Slat is well suited as an outdoor lamp, as it is protected from dust as well as from water from any angle. The surfaces pure white, space grey, anthracite and cool brown are offered. The LEDs with a total output of 16 watts and 360 lumens are dimmable on-site. As with most outdoor lights, the German light manufacturer IP44.de has also decided to integrate LEDs with IvyLight technology. Unlike conventional LEDs, IvyLight LEDs have the advantage of consuming 10% less energy. At the same time, the light efficiency is 10% higher. The IvyLight LEDs of the Slat spread a warm white light with 3,000 Kelvin colour temperature.
Klaus Nolting designed the ceiling and wall lamps, which were awarded with the Iconic Awards 2017: Interior Innovation: Best of Best and the IF Design Award 2017.
