The Louis Poulsen PH 5 pendant lamp emits 100% glare-free light. Like all others in this series, this lamp has three shades that direct most of the light downwards. In addition, there is a trumpet-shaped top shade that ensures that the light illuminates both the area around itself and itself.
The very first pendant lamp of this kind was created by Poul Hennigsen in 1958, but the designer often changed its shape and size. The PH 5 is offered actually in seven versions:
- blue (Hues of Blue)
- green (Hues of Green)
- red (Hues of Red)
- orange (Hues of Orange)
- rose pink (Hues of Rose)
- white (modern white).
All versions except the white ones have a downwards brighter colour gradient. The white version has white shades pointing downwards and a rose-coloured anti-glare disc. The hues versions are all wet mat lacquered, while the white version is powder-coated matt. The connecting rods are for all versions in copper. The cable of the pendant light can be shortened if necessary. From this series there is also offered the PH Classic with white shades (matt powder coated) and a purple colour correction ring.
