Domus Pila

The Pila lamp series by the German manufacturer Domus consists of two pendant lamps, a ceiling lamp and a wall lamp. All lamps from this series have a white lamp shade made of Lunopal. The highlight of this lamp series is the Pila pendant lamp. The Pila pendant lamp is infinitely adjustable in height thanks to its flexible suspension. If you pull on the spherical counterweight made of beech wood, the position of the lamp changes. The special feature of the tension suspension is the construction of the canopy made of beech wood: it can be divided and thus allows the lamp to be mounted on or offset from the electrical ceiling connection. The eye-catcher of this pendant lamp is the elegantly curved arch, which is made in many steps from a single solid piece of wood. This arch made of beech wood holds the two-part white lampshade made of Lunopal. Lunopal is a high-quality shade material developed by Domus. This material is thermally highly resilient and can withstand temperatures of up to 100°C. Lunopal is white transparent and gives the impression of fine Japanese paper. The environmentally friendly material is UV-resistant, washable and does not yellow. The black 200 cm long textile cable of this infinitely height-adjustable lamp deliberately contrasts with the white lampshade. The white lamp shade of the Domus Pila pendant lamp is 30 cm high and has a diameter of 50 cm. The Pila pendant lamp has an E27 socket and can be operated with conventional halogen bulbs as well as with LED retrofit bulbs.
