Lightyears Bulb Fiction pendant light

The Lightyears Bulb Fiction looks like a simple incandescent lamp at first sight, but is actually a pendant lamp with a transparent glass diffuser. The glass diffuser is made of acid-treated opal glass, the lamp has a white lacquered aluminum socket and a cable with a thick silicone sheath. It is available in the two cable lengths 300 cm or 600 cm. The cable can be knotted to allow an unusual suspension. In this way, the pendant light can also be suspended at different heights. The diameter of the lamp is 12.8 cm at a height of 21 cm. The high-voltage halogen lamp with a maximum power of 42 watts which is required as a light source is completely hidden by the diffuser so that glare-free light is generated. The pendant light was designed in the year 2012 by KiBiSi, the design office composed of the design and architectural offices KiloDesign (Ki), BIG architects (Bi) and Skibsted Ideation (Si).
