Tartan
[Ludovica & Roberto Palomba]
Description
The Foscarini Tartan is a nearly spherical pendant lamp in white blown glass. The lamp has a relief structure which is reminiscent of the Scottish plaid kilts, hence the name. In the manufacturing process in order to produce this effect, the glass is blown into a mold having notches. In addition, the surface is treated with acid.
The result is a frosted glass which produces diffused ambient light and direct light downwards. This version can be used with halogen or fluorescent lamps as well as with LED retrofit. The cable with a length of 340 cm is shortenable if necessary. Also a longer cable is offered on request.
